McKinney Wildfire Burns 50,000 Acres In California
According to Cal fire, Mckinney fire burned 51,468 acres on Sunday and grew into the largest fire in California this year. The fire broke out almost a few days ago in Siskiyou County, California touching the state’s border with Oregon.
The extreme fire has recorded an amount more than double than the Oak fire, which is the second largest fire that exploded earlier this month, alarming the most popular groves of sequoia trees in Yosemite national park.

Hundreds of firefighters are performing several point protection operations in the affected area. A state of emergency has been declared in Siskiyou county, resulting in all the residents and trekkers leaving the area.
