The Youth Unemployment Rate Is Set To Hit 73 Million In 2022
The number of unemployed young people is set to get as far as 73 Million in 2022. This increasing youth unemployment rate is mainly due to the severe crisis the pandemic brought.
A report by the International Labor Organization which is one of the United Nations agencies says that young people between the age of 15-24 years have been pushed the most by COVID unemployment issues.
Furthermore, few other data shared by the International Labor Organization indicated that only countries with high income are expected to recover from the youth unemployment crisis by the end of this year. The average percentage of youth unemployment rate has spiked by 23% which is considered the highest level in fifteen years.
